Verdict

DIAMOND LAURA makes plenty of appeal on a return to plating company and she can account for Lady Pattern and Fenella Rose. The daughter of Lucky Story has only one way of racing and that is to jump away quickly from the stalls and make the running. Nurseries are out for her on account of a high handicap mark but she will always have her supporters in this sphere. Lady Pattern has struggled to go on since taking a Newbury fillies' event. She was soon cast aside at Sandown in her most recent start having made the early pace. Fenella Rose makes her first appearance on an artificial surface. The first-time visor is probably there to minimise the effect of any kickback. Yeadon was a bitterly disappointing favourite at Ayr though Richard Fahey's runners are worthy of respect at this level. Bathwick Gino was beaten in a worse contest than this at Wolverhampton so the percentage call is one of opposition. Magenta Star hails from a family that Reg Hollinshead knows plenty about though she'll need to be sharp to live with these rivals. Diamond Laura has enough to like about her from a formbook perspective to make an interest worthwhile.
