Verdict

MISHEER has plenty of pace and this Oasis Dream filly is taken to cement her trainer's very high opinion of her; Sand Vixen's Newbury win has been franked and she may prove to be the chief danger. This looks a strong renewal with seven of the 10 runners rated 99 or above. The selection has been given a break since her scintillating Cherry Hinton win at Newmarket and she should be fully prepared for this assignment. She has the speed for a return to five furlongs, and it will take a very good horse to lower her colours. Kevin Ryan provided a shock in this race twelve months ago when saddling Madame Trop Vite to victory. Today he has the progressive Our Jonathan as he searches for his third win in this race in four years. A Listed winner at Dundalk last month, this Invincible Spirit colt is very much effective over this trip. Mister Manannan is consistent but he seemed to be out-speeded at York last time out and looks as if he needs an extra furlong; his conqueror that day Star Rover and the sixth home Archers Road re-oppose this afternoon and they cannot be overlooked, especially the former who is tough as teak. The return to this trip will suit Bould Mover who has flourished on this quick ground before, Picadilly Filly is progressing well since her trainer's appearance on Dragons Den, whilst Rose Blossom is very highly thought of and she is speedy enough for this trip. A bigger danger however may be Sand Vixen. She beat Shamandar last time out, a horse who has since won in Listed company, and with her stable on the crest of a wave, she must be considered a major player. A terrific contest, but the filly Misheer can prove herself against the boys with a fourth career success.
