As a half-sister to the top-class Kalanisi, the Sir Michael Stoute-trained Kalandara should not be underestimated in an ordinary looking maiden and is selected ahead of Aegean Pearl and Kinvara Lass, while Millistar is also worth noting in the betting. Millistar is a well related individual that will be of plenty of interest when going into handicaps. She has yet to display a change of gear during her races but it is early days for her just yet. Kinvara Lass posted an improved effort at Ripon last time and will be suited by the step up in trip. Watch the betting where she is concerned. Aegean Pearl raced with the pace before showing signs of inexperience on debut here last month. However, John Gosden will have been pleased with the effort and he is sure to have put this son of Lemon Drop Kid through his paces since then. A bold effort is anticipated. However, the Stoute team must have been itching to get a run into Kalandara and he will take a world of beating if he holds a modicum of his sibling's attitude to racing.
