Redden lost his race at the start on debut but one cannot help but feel that if he is more mature today then he will run a big race, however ROBINSON CRUSO brings some good form to the race and is selected accordingly. Having had Philip Robinson aboard for his first two starts, Michael Jarvis now turns to his 'Man Friday' Neil Callan in order to help this colt break his maiden tag. He was beaten by just four lengths in a valuable sales race at HQ last time out and if he handles this softer ground then he looks sure to run well. Strong Vigilance cost 135,000 guineas and is the first foal of a well-related dam. His owner already has a well-fancied runner for Epsom next year and the market should help guide to this fellow's chance today. Redden is bred to appreciate a bit of cut in the ground and is of interest, as is newcomer Rashaad who cost $650,000 and is related to plenty of winners across the Atlantic. Much Acclaimed and Second Brook have both shown ability in weaker races, whilst of the others, it is Jack O' Lantern who catches the eye. This Shamardal colt has plenty of winners on his dam's side of the family and he strikes as a likely newcomer. An intriguing maiden, but we hope this will be plain sailing for Robinson Cruso.
