Former president heads up rescue package
Bourgoin have been saved from closure by president Gaston Maulin.
The club faced an uncertain future after a proposed takeover by GL Events - the majority shareholders of ProD2 outfit Lyon - collapsed.
However French rugby's financial watchdog, the DNACG, have accepted a plan that will see Maulin bankroll the club to the tune of 700,000 euros, while the players and staff will take a 17 per cent pay cut.
The Isère Regional Administration have also agreed to inject a further 500,000 euros into the club, while 77-year-old Maulin has been reappointed as club president.
The rescue package means that the DNACG have released the licences of Alberto Di Bernardo, John Senio, Piet Van Zyl, Albert VuliVuli, Sylvain Charlet, Wessel Jooste, Yan Labrit, Matias Viazzo, Albin Louchard, Alexandre Dumoulin, Erwan Lapteff and Jordan Merle after the 12 had been prevented from playing because of the financial crisis at the club.
