WATCH: Newport Gwent Dragons' Hallam Amos on rugby and medicine
Friday 16 September 2016 18:24, UK
Hallam Amos spoke to Sky Sports about balancing rugby with university, as he pursues a career in medicine.
The Newport Gwent Dragons back did not hesitate when asked which was tougher between pre-season training and medical exams.
"Pre-season," said Amos. "100 per cent.
"Every year I kind of think 'Oh I don't want to be doing this, I could give it up and just be a uni student!' but when you get through it, it's worth it and you feel better for it on the pitch. But it's hell every year."
The Wales international is happy to be patient in pursuit of his Cardiff University qualification, but hopes his side can push for Guinness PRO12 glory sooner rather than later.
