Sale Sharks have won the race to sign Samoan speedster Mikaele Pesamino from Auckland.
The lightning fast winger was named the IRB Sevens player of the year after scoring 56 tries in Samoa's title-winning side.
However the 26-year has now agreed to make the switch to the Premiership after playing in the ITM Cup for Auckland.
And Sale coach Mike Brewer is thrilled to have beaten off competition for Pesamino's signature.
Brewer said: "This is a massive signing for the club. Mikaele is incredibly quick and has wanted to play in the Premiership.
"He had the choice of joining other clubs in the UK but he has chosen Sale Sharks and I am sure our supporters will be very impressed with him."
