Sale Sharks forward George Nott has put pen to paper on a new five-year deal, the club confirmed on Wednesday.
Nott, an academy product of the Sharks, played a major role in England's home U20 World Championship victory last summer, earning a place in the team of the tournament.
The 21-year-old is the third Sale player to pen a five-year deal recently, a contract length rare to rugby union, following twin brothers and flankers Tom and Ben Curry.
"Signing Notty on a five year deal is great news for the club," said Sale Director of Rugby Steve Diamond. "The drain on players coming through our successful Academy system and then moving south has come to an end.
"We reached the Academy final this season for the first time ever and we are currently in the process of signing many of those players up long term too."
Though born in Wales, Nott has represented England at U18 and U20 level both at second row and in the backrow, featuring nine times for the U20 side in total.
"I am delighted to have signed my new deal," Nott added. "Sale Sharks is where I want to play my rugby and am looking forward to helping the club achieve their ambitions in the years ahead.
"I would like to thank both Chester RUFC and Fylde RUFC who have given me valuable game time in my career too."
Fellow Sale players Josh Beaumont, Mike Haley, Bryn Evans, TJ Ioane, Will Addison and Ross Harrison have all recently signed new three-year deals, while Cameron Neild, Paolo Odogwu and Sam James penned four-year extensions.
