Saracens centre Brad Barritt says confidence is returning ahead of their trip to the Ospreys

Liam Williams has been declared fit to play in Saracens' crunch European Champions Cup match against Ospreys on Saturday.

The 26-year-old hasn't played since suffering an injury to his groin area playing for Wales against Georgia in November.

That means the versatile back hasn't been seen in a Saracens shirt since October, but director of rugby Mark McCall said: "He's available for selection.

"He's trained and if there are no ill-effects then he's got a great chance of being involved in the squad. We've taken our time but he looks pretty good."

Saracens' clash with Ospreys could spell the end of the losing side's European campaign. Ospreys currently lead Saracens by one place and two points, with just two matches remaining in Pool Two.

The London side have won the tournament for the last two years, but McCall acknowledged they may need something special to progress past the pool stage this time around.

He said: "It's always a calculated gamble to bring someone back who hasn't played for a bit.

"But I think you do have the odd exceptional player who is able to do that and is good enough for you to want to put that player in. Liam is probably in that category."
