TJ Perenara has been ruled out for the rest of the season after the Hurricanes No.9 fractured his ankle in the friendly win over the Reds. The 20-year-old is facing up to six months on the sidelines after he suffered the injury in the process of scoring in the 78th minute. Perenara underwent surgery in Brisbane on Saturday - and is set to return home in the next few days. "It is devastating for TJ to have suffered this serious injury when he has been in such good form for the Hurricanes this season," said Hurricanes coach Mark Hammett. "But TJ is a focused and dedicated player so we know he will work hard in his recovery to come back better and stronger."
