New scrum-half hails Worcester's quality

New Worcester scrum-half Shaun Perry has been impressed with the attacking quality within the Warriors set-up. Perry has joined the Aviva Premiership new boys after a two-year stint in France with Brive - with the 33-year-old reunited with his former mentor at Bristol, Richard Hill. Under the guidance of Hill, Perry rose to become an England international - going on to win 14 caps and play at the 2007 World Cup. And with the likes of Errie Claassens and Josh Drauniniu joining the Tom Arscott, skipper Chris Pennell, Marcel Garvey and Miles Benjamin in the outside backs positions, Perry is excited by the squad and style of play Hill wants to play at Sixways.

Class

"We've got a quality back three," Perry told skysports.com. "There's not just Miles Benjamin and Marcel Garvey but there is Tom Arscott, who has been pushing them really hard in pre-season; Chris Pennell is a class full-back; then Errie and Josh have come in and have looked really good. "I wouldn't like to be Richard when it comes down to selection but as a Premiership team you need this. "At scrum-half Jonny Arr is a class act was superb as the club won the Championship and I have been brought in to provide competition for the No.9 shirt. I want the shirt just as much as Jonny does. "Looking at the squad there is good strength-in-depth in all positions and that is really encouraging."
