England have called up Leicester forward Ed Slater to replace the injured Courtney Lawes ahead of their Six Nations clash with Wales.
Lawes has appeared in all three of England's games in this year's tournament, starting against Italy, but had to be helped from the pitch during Northampton's victory over Saracens on Saturday having suffered an ankle injury.
The injury hands an opportunity to Slater and the 27-year-old could be in line to make his international debut at Twickenham next weekend.
There is also a place in the 33-man training squad for Luther Burrell, the Northampton centre replacing Marland Yarde who injured his shoulder in Harlequins' defeat to Sale, and Ollie Devoto.
Bath's Devoto is fit to rejoin the squad following his recovery from concussion while Manu Tuilagi has also joined up with the squad despite Leicester boss Richard Cockerill's claim that the centre is 'not ready' for a return to Test rugby.
Victory for England on Saturday would take them a step closer to a Six Nations grand slam and would be enough to win the championship should France fail to beat Scotland on Sunday.
