Gloucester have confirmed the signing of Tonga wing David Halaifonua, subject to visa approval.
The 27-year-old, who has also operated at full-back, will join compatriots Sione Kalamafoni, Aleki Lutui and Sila Puafisi at Kingsholm.
Gloucester rugby director David Humphreys said: "David will bring something different to what we already have at the club and provides some cover for the loss of James Simpson-Daniel and, more recently, the departure of Tom Isaacs.
"We are looking forward to welcoming him on board, adding more international quality to the squad and seeing him contribute for what is an exciting second half of the season."
Gloucester, won won at London Irish last time out, continue their European Challenge Cup campaign when they host Zebre on Sunday.
