Pesamino hat-trick helps guarantee finals place

Manu Samoa became the second team to qualify for the 2011 Rugby World Cup after a crushing 73-12 victory over Papua New Guinea on Saturday. Wing Mikaele Pesamino helped himself to a hat-trick in an utterly one-sided contest at Port Moresby as the Pacific Islanders preserved their near flawless qualification record. The victory completed a 188-19 aggregate win for Manu Samoa in their two-leg playoff and they join Canada in progressing through the global qualifying campaign. They can now look forward to facing world champions South Africa in Pool D, along with Wales, Fiji and the winner of Africa's qualifying final between Tunisia and Namibia.
