Wasps will need to win at Welford Road for the first time in the league if they are to avenge last week's EDF Energy Cup semi-final defeat to the Tigers.
The Londoners have failed to win in 17 previous league outings at Leicester and will have to do so without skipper Lawrence Dallaglio.
The World Cup winner has been stood down by his club ahead of a Rugby Football Union disciplinary hearing next Tuesday and is replaced as captain by hooker Raphael Ibanez.
Coach Shaun Edwards said: "We are under no illusions about the size of the challenge we face at Leicester.
"But we have gone about our preparations this week with a quiet determination to give a better account of ourselves than we did last weekend, when we didn't play to our potential."
Injury-free
Although Dallaglio is absent, Wasps welcome back England flanker Tom Rees, who has recovered from a knee injury sustained during the RBS 6 Nations opener against Wales almost two months ago, while Danny Cipriani moves to full-back, Dave Walder starts at number 10 and Josh Lewsey is on the wing.
Edwards added: "It is good to have Tom Rees back, and we will all be hoping he gets an injury-free run to the end of the season.
"Danny Cipriani was outstanding in attack from fly-half last week, but we have moved him to full-back for this game as we wanted more experience in the back three."
Wasps are currently eight points outside the play-off places but are still in contention with two games in hand on five of the six teams currently above them.
