Wales have called up uncapped Newport Gwent Dragons lock Cory Hill for this season's autumn Tests.

Wales U20 international Hill has trained with the national squad under interim head coach Rob Howley's guidance this week.

And the Welsh Rugby Union confirmed that 24-year-old Hill has now been added to a 36-man group preparing for games against Australia, Argentina, Japan and South Africa next month.

The WRU, meanwhile, gave no further updates on Wednesday regarding current injured players.

Lock Jake Ball, his Scarlets colleagues Liam Williams and Scott Williams, plus Northampton wing George North, have all suffered recent knocks.

But it is thought that North could be involved for his club Northampton when they resume their Aviva Premiership campaign against Franklin's Gardens visitors Gloucester on Friday.

Ball and Liam Williams, meanwhile, were hurt during the Scarlets' European Champions Cup defeat to Saracens four days ago.
