Ireland lost their first match against the Maori All Blacks. The home side produced a dominant first-half display to secure a 32-17 victory.
The opening Test against the All Blacks saw New Zealand score six tries, including three in eight first half minutes, as they responded to strong Ireland start.
New Zealand went on to win the Test match 42-19 at Eden Park and maintain their imperious record at the stadium.
Ireland's response in the second Test was emphatic as they recorded a historic first-ever win over the All Blacks in New Zealand.
Two tries from Andrew Porter and 13 points from Johnny Sexton enabled Ireland to triumph 23-12 and send the series to a decider.
Ireland named five uncapped players in their an extended 40-man squad for the tour.
Leinster trio Ciaran Frawley (centre), Joe McCarthy (second row) and Jimmy O'Brien (wing), Munster's Jeremy Loughman (loosehead prop) and Connacht's Cian Prendergast (back-row) make up the uncapped selections, with the squad captained by 36-year-old Johnny Sexton.
Injuries mean Leinster hooker Ronan Kelleher (shoulder), Munster wing Andrew Conway (knee) - key men during Ireland's successful 2021 Autumn series and 2022 Six Nations - miss out, as do Ulster wing Robert Baloucoune (hip), Munster prop Dave Kilcoyne (neck) and Munster centre Chris Farrell (hip).
