Verdict
BARONIAL PRIDE made a successful debut on soft ground at Hamilton but didn't quite look at home on fast going at Ayr when beaten by Celebrity Dancer. The winner's yard is represented by the newcomer Joey Boy, a son of Zebedee who faces a tough test on his debut. He'zanarab made a winning start over 5f at Windsor but didn't perform as well over this track and trip next time. Prince Elzaam didn't stay an extended 7f at Beverley after his Thirsk success and was due to run at the latter track yesterday. Rum Lad looked ready for this trip when staying on over the minimum at Ripon while the filly Elsie Violet has a sprinter's pedigree but will do well to keep tabs with these speedsters.
