Verdict

The first three from the Irish Oaks renew acquaintance here. COVERT LOVE was always up with the pace and just kept on galloping when Jack Naylor and Curvy came at her. Hugo Palmer's mare has improved out of all recognition and with more progress in her she is expected to confirm the form and gain her second Group 1 victory. The runner-up came from way back and may have finished closer if her run had started earlier but the third, who had won the Ribblesdale earlier from the Irish 1000 Guineas winner Pleascach, looked to have had every chance though a first-time visor may aid her cause. Lady Of Dubai ran a fine race when third at Epsom and wasn't suited by dropping back to 1m2f in the Nassau Stakes while there was obviously something amiss with Crystal Zvezda at Epsom though she's since been beaten in a Listed contest on this track. The rain has come in time for French raider Sea Calisi, who landed a Group 2 at Saint-Cloud in June on just her fourth start.
