Eswarah is back amongst her own sex now and can bounce back to form, with Playful Act, Punctilious and Dash To The Top seen as the main dangers. Eswarah fulfilled all expectations when landing the Vodafone Oaks in June and connections then thought long and hard before pitching her in against the big boys in the King George. She was allowed to take her chance after pleasing in a prep gallop, but on the day she got a bit upset beforehand and never managed to give of her best. Recent reports indicate that she is ready to run a big race, and she can pay to follow today. John Gosden has been in terrific form and has already nominated Playful Act as his best chance of a winner over the three days, so she should be on the premises as well. Second in the Irish Oaks, she should at least hold Dash To The Top on that form. With Godolphin back amongst the winners, it would be folly to rule out Punctilious entirely, but the ground was much softer when she scored in Listed company at Newbury, and she too appears held by Playful Act on Lancashire Oaks running. Iota was impressive in the German Oaks but this is tougher, and Shamdala has to make the leap from French Listed company, so Eswarah can make her class tell today.
