Not the strongest start to Worcester's eight-race card but a good opportunity for SPACE TELESCOPE to get off the mark, possibly ahead of Sparkling Brook and Grand Award. Jonjo O'Neill's charge ran well enough when third here last time to be of serious interest, albeit off a 2lbs higher mark. That rise is at least in part negated by the claim of Ritchie McLernon and this son of Galileo is taken to find some improvement for the first-time blinkers. Sparkling Brook would've been of more interest over shorter but she does appear to have the stamina for this test and has claims. Last time the mare bumped into a well-treated rival when attempting to make all over 2m1f but that was only her fifth try over hurdles and there should be more to come. Grand Award won a bumper here but hasn't gone on from that, partly because he's struggled to settle in his races. Should this gelding do so there's a prize in him off this mark and there are no stamina concerns as he's won a point-to-point. Occasionally Yours got off the mark over course and distance last time but is no good-thing to go in again under a 7lb penalty having looked modest previously, Magnetic Pole has plenty of experience but is better over fences while Wisteria Lane needs to find plenty for the headgear tried here. Points Of View and Sagunt are others to consider but in a race that won't take much winning Space Telescope gets the vote.
