Verdict
ROSSETTI showed enough on debut to suggest that success awaits this evening, while Mega Mount can also improve and The Long Game is among a few interesting newcomers. The Richard Hannon-trained pick ran very green at Leicester when tried over the minimum trip last month when finishing third of four runners on ground described as good to firm. The step up to 6f will surely be to his advantage, while conditions remain quick and with the yard's juveniles red hot this season he can be relied upon to find significant improvement. Mega Mount also made a pleasing debut at Warwick a couple of weeks ago and should enjoy these quicker conditions. He has a good combination of speed and stamina in the pedigree and should show us more second time around. Brian Meehan saddles The Long Game, who is a brother to the smart sprinter Mood Music and a half brother to four other winners over sprint trips. He has to prove himself first up on this fast ground but the bloodlines augur well for a decent effort. Shaabek is related to some good performers, though he may be better when tried over further, and the same applies to Jack's Revenge. Rossetti gets the vote in the opener.
