Not the best contest for the grade and the vote goes to DIAMOND JOHNNY G ahead of Russian Rocket and Ignatieff. It's a little bit of a surprise the selection has been dropped two lbs for his latest success. Many feel he is flattered by his current mark but we're not so sure. He has been very consistent so far this season improving with each run. He also won his latest race a little bit cosily and if the handicapper thinks that warrants a drop in the handicap we are here to take full advantage. As long as they go a good gallop he should be in the shake up from his decent draw. Russia Rocket has to be respected in this grade after his decent run in the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot. A reproduction of that form would have him in the shake up here but he has been disappointing thus far this season. Ignatieff is liked by his trainer and this flat track should see this speed merchant in good light. Others to note in a wide opening affair are Leleyf and Nepotism but Diamond Johnny G gets the vote.
