AMBROSE PRINCESS takes the eye as the best option in the opener. Quivvy Bridge and Victoria State are forwarded as the main dangers. The last named is open to plenty of improvement and makes her debut over timber at a realistic level. She did run a touch too freely at Bangor in April; so needs to learn how to get into a rhythm. Therefore, it is also feasible she may just need the experience. Quivvy Bridge, who made steady progress for Jessica Harrington in Ireland, has to be of interest; especially with Tony McCoy doing the steering. Her trainer, Jimmy Lambe, is very adept at finding an opening on these shores and he once again appears to have gained top marks for doing his homework in scouring the racing calendar for a suitable opportunity. However, she was disappointing when well backed at Cartmel yesterday, so there have to be reservations about her posting a much improved effort today. Therefore, the nomination goes to Ambrose Princess, who seems to be thriving on the new challenge presented by the jumping game. The Michael Scudamore-trained mare has a willing attitude and can be fancied as the one to pull out a bit extra if required.
