Verdict
Moon Forest looks to hold outstanding claims here and is given a strong vote ahead of Lady Doris Watts and, possibly Brumaire. The Peter Chapple-Hyam-trained selection has show promise in both starts to date and the bare level of his form, including when second to yesterday's York winner Ingleton, looks to be in a different stratosphere to most of the others. From Mick Channon's stable, Lady Doris Watts showed glimmers of hope behind Loyal Love at Newmarket on her debut and should improve, while, being from the John Dunlop stable, Brumaire has to be afforded respect, while Honour High has run in two better events to date and ought to have improvement in him. Valiant Act showed some promise on his debut on heavy going at Chepstow but, in all fairness, most of the runners look modest on what we have so far gleaned. Once again, then. Moon Forest has a fine chance of giving his handler another success.
