If VOICE OF REASON can transfer his bumper form then he looks the one to beat with the Alan King duo of King Lok and Mad Jack Duncan looking to be the dangers. The selection for Carl Llewellyn is unbeaten in two starts in bumpers with both performances suggesting that there is more to come and that he'll stay this trip. The trainer will bound to have him schooled to capacity and with a good jumping performance has the chance to get off the mark over timber at the first time of asking. Before we get on to the Alan King runners Broken Beau also looks to have a claim here. The five-year-old has a more than useful official rating of 116 over hurdles after a couple of decent efforts this season. After making his jumping bow though the latest effort brought about little improvement but if that comes here it could be enough. Of the two Alan King entries it seems Mad Jack Duncan has the strongest chances judging by the jockey bookings. He made plenty of mistakes on his hurdles debut but should have learned his lessons and we can expect an improved run. While has had a year off after just one outing in 2007 where he struggled a little. The form from the race has since been stood up on a few occasions so on that he has a claim but the verdict belongs to Voice of Reason.
