Last Flight, Sand Repeal and Kayf Aramis are all in decent form and we take the latter to score on ground he will revel in. The John Spearing-trained mudlark has landed all three of his wins with cut in the ground and remains in good form as evidenced by his recent Pontefract run. He is only 2lb above his most recent win, which came at York's Dante meeting, he relishes this trip and he can go in again. Sand Repeal will be popular after a 1m 7f Folkestone win last time and if the ground was good he would posdsibly have got the nod here. However, he is unproven on ground slower than good and so his ability to follow up is far from certain. Last Flight is a lightly raced filly and therefore open to improvement. John Dunlop's runner put up her best effort on soft at York last time and can get involved. Kasban looks best of the remainder, but Kayf Aramis will love the mud and can make best use of it here.
