    Verdict

Wind Star is our pick with Peruvian Prince and Jadaara as the most obvious dangers. Alan Swinbank's charge has proved frustrating to follow but this does not appear to be a particularly strong affair on paper and having demonstrated ability on this surface, he puts all the ticks in the right boxes. Peruvian Prince has been given half a chance by the handicapper. He does not win too often but when he does get his head infront, it is at this time of year. Jadaara had a bad day at the office at Kempton and it remains to be seen as to whether the handicapper went overboard for that debut success at Beverley. Bencoolen handles this surface and is tried in cheekpieces in an attempt to get back to something like his juvenile promise. Given A Choice is probably flattered by the current BHA rating and rates a much more serious propostition in claiming grade. Mustajed might just be better over 1m4f than today's shorter trip. Wind Star has obvious pros and cons and we take him to realise his previous promise today.
