    Verdict

Golden Apollo is preferred to Danzan of the Tim Easterby pair while Another Batt looks a better bet than stablemate Homer Stokes but others are less exposed. Zip is starting to look well handicapped but we are happy to put a line through IL BANDITO’s run in the Bunbury Cup at Newmarket and he’ll be suited by today’s give in the ground. Open Mind was only beaten half-a-length when third at Newmarket last month but he is less certain to enjoy conditions while Spangled Mac has shot up the weights having rattled up a four-timer in lesser company. Wobwobwob looks best of the rest but still looks a couple of pounds too high.
