      Verdict

      The consistent Montelusa appeared to be feeling the fast ground when placed here last time so today's conditions should suit. Jm Jungle and Shandy Star both showed good pace before fading in a 6f nursery at York while DOUBLE O found 7f just beyond her at Chester. David Loughnane's filly had won over this trip at Pontefract earlier before taking her chance in the Albany Stakes and Irish-based jockey Gary Halpin is on board for his only ride of the meeting. Match Play made all for a comfortable victory over 5f here and could provide the main threat though Finn Russell was still green here a couple of weeks ago and makes his handicap debut.
