        In depth

        Verdict

        A strong-looking handicap for three-year-olds. In The City could take some stopping on his handicap debut but there was a lot to like about the manner in which KHARBETATION (NAP) got off the mark over course and distance last time and, with much more to come, he can hold off some solid-looking rivals. Ballet Concerto won with plenty in hand at Yarmouth and could offer the strongest opposition though Hugo Palmer’s Doncaster winner Murad Khan also has place claims, along with the highly-tried Deauville winner Michele Strogoff.
