ONEMOREANDSTAY ran as well as could've been expected last time behind an in-form horse and can go one better here from Boundless Prospect and Moonshine Creek. The filly is relatively lightly-raced and has two wins from four Southwell starts proving that the surface is ideal for this daughter of Dr Fong and with no obvious handicap snips in opposition today we'll take her to improve upon that already impressive strike-rate and land it. Boundless Prospect has claims having also taken second behind Shadow's Lengthen last time, but whilst David Evan's veteran got a lot closer than our selection did he was receiving weight whereas ours had to give it away and the make-up of today's contest tips the balance in favour of the filly, although this gelding will surely run another solid race at a track he loves. Moonshine Creek is a competitively handicapped seven-year-old with a solid enough profile but it is a concern that Chris Catlin's mount has never raced here and against two in-form course specialists the gelding might be up against it today. The aforementioned three look to hold the most compelling claims but if there is to be a slight turn up it could come courtesy of Crimson Mitre whose two wins have both come at this track. The last of those efforts was at this trip off a mark of 65 and the manner of it suggested that today's revised rating of 69 should leave room for manoeuvre, whilst Academy Gigsnreels needs a market check on his course debut. With La Columbina looking woefully out of sorts this is best left to Onemoreandstay.
