Verdict
A very tight staying handicap on paper represents a tricky form puzzle for punters to solve. However, Sir Mark Prescott's Affaire D'Amour is an improving type and looks the one to side with, getting the TEAMtalk vote. The filly improved throughout the summer and won a decent race on the turf at the end of the season. She was then not disgraced in a Listed race in France and now returns to a surface she is unbeaten on. Positive Profile is a major danger as he again is an improving type and has had a good summer which included an eighth in the Cesarewitch. He had a recent run over hurdles and now returns to a surface that he is very consistent and effective on. Alberich is another who was highly tried this summer and is proven on the fibresand, however on the negative side he is better over slightly shorter. High Policy would have a chance on his form of last year but he has lost his way recently and can be opposed in a competitive race of this nature. Montecristo is not without a chance but looks held by the selection on recent runs and is yet to win over this trip.
