Registrar is narrowly preferred to Inside Story and Vanadium in this competitive handicap. The selection is not the most straightforward but he may be suited by the drop in trip today and he certainly showed enough last time when second behind Kingdom of Dreams to suggest that he is capable of winning a race of this nature. Inside Story won well on his debut when beating Sergeant Lewis at Lingfield. He is sure to improve for the run but he will need to in this much more competitive race. Vanadium won well on his debut over 6f when beating Zidane, but he just gave the impression at Doncaster last time that he would be suited by the step-up to a mile and on that basis he is narrowly passed over today. North Shore looks to be the pick of Richard Hannon's runners but he looks to have plenty to prove and it's interesting that he is dropped in trip today. Madhavi is Hannon's other runner but the fact that Ryan Moore is riding North Shore would suggest that he has higher hopes for him today. All in all this is a tough race for punters to call but we will stick with Registrar as our idea of the winner.
