Verdict
Rapsgate is taken to score here with Tara Too and Gilt Linked the others in with a serious chance. The selection has shown enough in her two runs to date to make her the one to beat. She ran with promise on her debut before building on that when a good third behind Oceans Apart at Wolverhampton last time. She is well-drawn today and she sets a decent standard for the newcomers. Tara Too kept on well enough on her debut without ever looking likely to land a serious blow at Goodwood behind Marriage Value. It remains to be seen whether the drop in trip will suit as she seemed to be doing her best work at the finish on her debut, but she has to be respected with Frankie Dettori booked for the ride. Gilt Linked is a well-bred newcomer from a stable who are more than capable of getting one ready to win first time out, so this filly is certainly worth a second look in the market. La Chunga and Ridgeway Cross are others worth noting in the market, but for the winner we will stick with Rapsgate who looks to be going the right way and is taken to get her head in front.
