Verdict
In what is a very good line-up for the Tolworth Hurdle, we will side with Wild Passion ahead of Marcel, Astronomic and Made In Montot. Marcel has already had an excellent season, winning seven of his eight races, but this looks his toughest assignment to date and he might be vulnerable to what are some useful rivals here. Marcel's only defeat this season came at the hands of the Howard Johnson-trained Astronomic, who faces him again today so we will get to see if that is trustworthy form. With the highly-regarded Chilling Place, the Paul Nicholls-trained Made In Montot, who has a defeat of Marcel in France to his name, the Grade 1 Chepstow winner Phar Bleu, and high-class Irish raider Wild Passion also in the line-up, this race is so good, you want to wrap it up and take it home with you. Given that Wild Passion will not lack for toughness and experience, he is given the narrow vote.
