      Verdict

LAST CRUSADER has to concede 6lb and upwards all round but made a good impression on debut when a well-supported favourite. Held up in mid-division, he came through to score with something to spare and looks the sort to progress again, especially tackling the same trip and ground. Monsieur Jumbo perhaps didn't build on a promising Ayr debut next time up when turned over at odds-on at Doncaster, being demoted to third spot after hampering the re-opposing Grifter. There should be little between them here and they rate the main threats. Wootton'Sun makes most appeal of the newcomers for Richard Fahey.
