Verdict

PLAYFELLOW should stay this extra furlong based on his breeding and style of racing and gets the vote to see off Mick Channon's pair of Danidh Dubai and Lahaleeb. Officially rated 108, the selection's recent third in the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster behind Westphalia is the best form on offer. His dam was a mile winner in France and related to several winners over this trip he should be fine. Mishrif has only had the two starts and comprehensively despatched a fair yardstick at Folkestone last time; this is a step up in class however. Laahig made a winning start to his career at Carlisle but has since struggled to cut the mustard in nursery company and is overlooked here, with Lahaleeb seen as the big danger. She has some very solid Group race form to her name and although yet to fully prove her stamina she should go well. Stablemate Danidh Dubai has become disappointing and so we will side with Playfellow to lead them home.
