    Verdict

Only Transcendantale of the quintet appears to have too much to do in a competitive little event. Little Amin has claims on his best but has not shown that for some time and may be better on a softer surface. Gem Bien is a more reliable proposition and should again be thereabouts but, in a small field such as this, he may not have the race run to suit. Ashkelon, who stays further, may well make the running but the one that get the TEAMtalk vote is Sarraff. Ian Semple's six-year-old is sure to be close to the pace, whoever supplies it, and in his current form should be too good for his rivals. Darryll Holland takes the ride.
