Verdict

With appearance money being paid to all the participants in this conditions race, four out of the six runners seem to only be racing for the benefit of collecting their ¿300. At least one out of the quartet of Jamaican Flight, Prize Dancer, September Harvest and Spa Lane should return home with someplace prize-money as well. The finish should be fought out between Archduke Ferdinand and Taffrail with slight preference for the former, who gets the TEAMtalk vote. Second to Cover Up in the Queen Alexandra Stakes at Royal Ascot, the selection disappointed subsequently in the Northumberland Plate. The absence since is a slight worry but with 10lbs in hand over Sir Michael Stoute's horse, Darryll Holland's mount looks the one to be on.
