The vote here goes to Young Chevalier, with others considered being Jamaica Plane, Super Dolphin, Phase Three, Risky Way, Kalou and Cumbrian Knight Young Chevalier, who is just a pound above a winning mark, comes into the reckoning here not least because of his current rating and the fact that the going should be ok for him. Northern Flash has regressed, and Ratty's Band has disappointed twice since winning here three runs ago, so question marks surround them and a number of the others towards the bottom of the weights but Jamaica Plane, having shown in Ireland that he can act on this quicker going, could go well from his current mark. Super Dolphin ran well over course and distance from a two-pounds lower mark last time, and that gives him a shout, while winning pointer Phase Three showed promise on his Rules debut last time. Much as Risky Way has been raised seven pounds for his recent course and distance win, he is entitled to go well again, and Ideal du Bois Beury, while not the force of old, can still run the occasional good race. He's Hot Right Now has yet to match his hurdling form in two chasing outings and, with Glenfarclas Boy seemingly preferring slower conditions, Kalou's best efforts, including over course and distance on good going, bring him right into the shake-up. Finally, Cumbrian Knight has shown enough in novice events to suggest that he should be capable of running well at this level. Overall, though, the vote goes to Young Chevalier.
