Little Good Bay has shaped with the ability to win a race of this nature and looks the one to beat ahead of Leave To Appeal, Island Light and Quiet Storm. John Gosden's runners have been needing a run so it was encouraging that Little Good Bay finished a close second on his return in a competitive heat at Windsor before a creditable fifth in a hot Newmarket handicap behind Self Evident on 1,000 Guineas day. The form of the latter event is working out well and Little Good Bay should appreciate this ease in grade. Leave To Appeal caused an upset when landing the Wood Ditton at Newmarket's Craven meeting but the form looks nothing out of the ordinary and Luca Cumani's filly lacks the experience at this level. Island Light was a useful winning juvenile but may just need the outing but Quiet Storm was far from disgraced in Listed-company last time and is not without claims off a fair mark.
