An interesting novice event with useful winners such as Stealthelimelight, Clifden and Cotosol taking on a well-bred newcomer in the shape of Three Valleys. The last named is a Diesis half-brother to numerous middle distance winners and Roger Charlton's charge should appreciate starting his career over six furlongs so has to be feared in receipt of all the weight allowances. Stealthelimelight confirmed previous promise to score a shade comfortably at Brighton earlier in the month and should put up another bold show with a useful apprentice on board. It was encouraging that Clifden was sharp enough to make a winning debut at Yarmouth and can only improve while Cotosol appreciated a drop in grade to open his account on the all-weather at Southwell last time but is a little more exposed and could prove vulnerable to an above average type.
