    Verdict

    It was good ground when GRANDFATHER TOM won over track and trip last time. He’s yet to race on a soft surface but a chance is taken on Bob Cowell’s charge given the recent modest form of today’s opposition. Show Palace has won on faster going here but never figured at Haydock last time while Gnaad’s earlier placed effort at Ascot came on good to firm. Kodiac Express is back on a winning mark but Choosey has plenty to find with the selection on latest running.
