Verdict
The pot is likely to remain in Newmarket here with some strong contenders including the selection HARRIS TWEED who is marginally preferred to Next Move and Into Wain. William Haggas has not sent out too many runners so far this season but this Hernando colt impressed when scoring easily on his reappearance at Ripon. An opening mark of 85 in handicaps looks high enough but he is bred to get better with age and this longer trip will be no barrier to success. Into Wain has been well-placed this year and chases a fourth win in a row; he is now 14lb higher than when he started in handicaps but with the yard in great form he is hard to ignore. Beneath is better than his last start and Gerald Mosse looks an interesting jockey booking, Green Lightning needs to improve for the application of the blinkers, whilst Next Move is dropped in grade and this longer trip should enable this half-brother to Chelsea Rose to blossom. Navy List completes the line-up and this Mahmood Al Zarooni-trained colt is not absolutely sure to get this longer trip on pedigree. Fascinating fayre with the nod going to Harris Tweed.
