Munaddam gets the tentative vote here ahead of perennial runner-ups Zomerlust and Intrepid Jack. Ed Dunlop's gelding has been in decent form of late having enjoyed a purple patch in Nad Al Sheba during the Spring and then continuing with a victory at Haydock. His eighth last time out doesn't really tell the true story as the ground was against him and he was only beaten two lengths at the line. Assuming the heavens don't open then he must hold a great chance. Intrepid Jack steps back up to seven furlongs here in the search for that elusive pot of gold; his last win was over five furlongs and it remains to be seen whether his stamina will hold out today. Bentong is of interest based on his good second two starts back, however he was disappointing at Ascot but this step up in trip looks as if it may well suit. Fajr is very consistent but may just be tapped for toe again as he has done on those last three runs when beaten a length. Grantley Adams is very consistent so must have an excellent chance once again, whilst Mine, Vortex and My Paris have all won over course and distance so each warrants respect. Fixboard, the French challenger is an 'unknown' so should be treated like a mouse ought to approach a piece of cheese on some wood. Zomerlust goes on any ground, whilst King Of Argos is two from his last three races but would like the sun to have his hat on. A toughie, but Munaddam gets the nod.
