Not a strong maiden, but this is a drop in class for Vamose and that may be enough for him to see off the likes of Carriacou and Saffron Fox. The selection looked to catch a tartar here last time in Thajja and wasn't knocked around when his chance is gone. He had two handlers in the paddock prior to that run and while he was a little on his toes, he wasn't unmanageable and providing temperament doesn't get the better of him, he looks sure to improve for the step up in trip. Saffron Fox has shown a fair level of form in her two outings to date, and this sister to a ten-furlong winner in Turkey is another who is sure to appreciate this stiffer test. A half-sister to five winners including the useful Circle Of Light and Champion Hurdler Collier Bay, Carriacou can only improve facing this stiffer test. However, she hasn't been seen since May and might just find one or two of these that bit sharper. Wychbury, a half-brother to a winning miler in France is one to keep an eye on as his stable have a 31 per cent strike rate with its juveniles this term. However, Vamose has the edge in experience and can make that pay.
