Verdict
TOTAL COMMAND rates our idea of the winner here although Tactician would be hard to beat if returning to his debut form; this pair are rated much more interesting than the others. Sir Michael Stoute's son of Saddler's Wells stepped up on a moderate debut, when to be fair conditions wouldn't have suited, to take an eye-catching second here in October. He's only going to improve now stepping up in trip and the yard have started the season well enough to suggest he'll be ready for this, so in anticipation of a big run from Latansaa in the opener (behind Total Command last time) we expect this one to take some beating. Tactician finished second to Wednesday's winner Coordinated Cut on his debut and although he disappointed on his second start that race has actually worked out rather well and the winner was electric. He's another for whom this step up will be a benefit and must be a real threat to our pick. Idealism should step up on his debut and the market will tell us more whilst Momkinzain went through the sales ring cheaply and may not live up to his pedigree. Aalya need to leave her debut behind but should prefer these conditions and All Action is a newcomer to note in the betting for last year's winning trainer Henry Cecil, but Total Command looks a horse to keep on the right side and gets the call.
