Verdict
There are some nicely interesting newcomers, none more so than Significant Move and Picture Post, but those to have raced set a fair standard and we'll take TENESSEE to get the better of Colonel Carter and Latansaa. Clive Cox's son of Nayef should be capable of progressing further as a three-year-old and, as he caught the eye when taking third on his sole start as a juvenile, he's worth siding with here with the ground expected to be fine for him. Colonel Carter showed promise on his debut too but disappointed on his second start. He's not one to give up on totally and should be better suited by today's conditions, but it's hard to get a view on how far forward the yard's runners are and he's narrowly opposed. Marcus Tregoning had a winner on Wednesday and will hope for a good run from Latansaa. This one is bred to improve when sent over further but he ran well over this trip at the age of two and could do better. Of the newcomers Significant Move is the most interesting as a son of Motivator who represents last year's winning team, but Picture Post hails from a yard who have started this season well and this boy cost over half-a-million dollars. Ritual looks interesting but Shane Kelly prefers Advertisement, Engulf should improve for this slightly easier surface and stepping up in trip whilst Give Your Verdict is respected too for Sir Michael Stoute. This could turn out to be a strong maiden and Tenessee gets our vote to land it for Clive Cox.
