In depth

Verdict

Little Hercules, a full brother to winning hurdler Old Theatre Royal, is sure to be popular here having won a bumper at Catterick on his racecourse debut and finished second on the same track under a penalty last month. But it will be a surprise if there isn't more to come from MASTER BEAU, who has been highly tried in his two starts over timber. George Charlton's seven-year-old may not have stayed 2m5f behind Bob's Worth at Cheltenham last time and the drop in distance and grade should see him in a better light. City Ground won twice on the Flat for Michael Jarvis and it will be a surprise if Mick Easterby doesn't get a race or two out of him over hurdles, though he may just need this.
